Atticus Douglas Parker the basics full name ♦ Atticus Douglas Parker nicknames ♦ Atty age ♦ Twenty birthday ♦ include year (currently 2017) occupation ♦ Monroeville Hospital patient school ♦ attended high school in New York City until he was fourteen, then left when he was sent to Monroeville. Currently has his GED. species ♦ human ability/power ♦ Astral Possession how the ability works ♦ Basically, he is able to leave his body for a limited amount of time and inhabit another body. When he is able to inhabit a body, he has complete control over them. He can do whatever he wants with them. While he is using his ability, if anything happens to his physical body then he could die. He can only inhabit someone for as long as he can keep his concentration and their physical and mental strengths. If someone is under more mental stress or in a general weakened state, it is easier for him to inhabit them and to keep the control longer. When he is able to get back into his own body, he's typically nauseous and has flu like symptoms. The severity of it depends on how long he was out of his own body. When he is inhabiting someone, he has access to their thoughts, and memories, but again, this really depends on their mental strength for how much he is able to get from them. gender ♦ Male; he/him/his sexuality ♦ Pansexual the appearance face claim ♦ Godfrey Gao height and weight ♦ 6'4 and 195 pounds identifying features ♦ covered in shitty tattoos done by other Monroeville inmates, stretched ears from random objects he was able to fashion into stretchers. overall appearance ♦ Atticus has more of a dirty punk look to him, most of his clothes are torn and scrappy from being at Monroeville. Most of them are torn or dirty because he generally doesn't care and the whole laundry service aspect of the place is lacking. Usually he can get a hydrokid to wash them, but they generally do more damage than good. Atticus is pretty tall and lanky, he's mostly lean muscle and can hold his own when he needs to. He prefers to be in solitary places, so he generally doesn't have to worry about how he looks or how he dresses. His body is covered with tattoos of various skill levels that he got done by some other patients in Monroeville. Tattoo machines are fairly easy to make, so he's been the guinea pig to many aspiring artists who can also turn into highly deadly snakes and electrocute people with their mind. His favorite is a portrait of Johnny Depp as Cry Baby Walker on his bicep. He's always had a soft spot for movies with good music, car chases, and Iggy Pop. Now that he's in Monroeville he found it exceptionally befitting to get a tattoo for someone else who was also in jail for being young. the personality likes ♦ + stealing the medicine carts and riding around on them + old movies + when his sister sneaks him Twizzlers + drawing dislikes ♦ + being around too many people + the people who run Monroeville + how sick his ability makes him + when he can't stop from possessing someone strengths ♦ + his art + grand champion at sliding down the halls in his socks weaknesses ♦ + doesn't get taken seriously + his ability leaves him physically ill dreams ♦ to get out of Monroeville fears ♦ that he will never get out overall personality ♦Atticus is generally a fun person to be around, the only probably is that he doesn't generally care to be around people. People are dangerous for him because of his ability. When he does partake in the whole being a human being thing, he can be pretty silly and carefree. He is known for his practical jokes around Monroeville and causing general chaos everywhere. He loves being able to make people laugh, but it can be pretty overwhelming for him when he can't control his ability and possesses someone. He ends up feeling like a freak for stealing their bodies, and people generally get hurt feelings when they lose control over themselves for a few hours. He tries to make light of it by telling people that they were just too much fun for him to resist, but he knows that he has almost no control over his abilities and how dangerous they are. He dreams of being able to get out of Monroeville, but a part of him knows that he might not be able to. the history father ♦ unsure of his biological father, but he has a wonderful adoptive father named Ivan Parker, a 51 year old advertisement agent mother ♦ unsure of his biological mother, but has a wonderful adoptive mother named Joan Parker, a 50 year old head chef siblings ♦ two sisters, also adopted they're 19 and 16 important people ♦ Bonnie Davis , his grandparents, some cousins, that's about it hometown ♦ New York City, New York overall history ♦ Joan and Ivan met while studying away in Bosnia. They were studying in their undergraduate work, and hit it off instantly. They were by each other's sides the whole time, taking pictures and exploring the country together. When they got back to New York, they started dating each other. By the time they got married, Joan had dropped out of her sociology degree and had enrolled in culinary school, and Ivan was well on his way to a career in marketing. They bought their house together, they started a beautiful life. When they turned 25, they started to try to have a family together. After years of trying, several miscarriages and three still births, they decided to stop trying. They took measures to make sure that they couldn't have any biological children. When they were 27 and 28, they adopted Atticus. Atticus was adopted at birth, his parents were apparently young and had their own problems. Atticus had to stay in the hospital for a few extra months to recover from an addiction to heroine. When he was finally able to go home, and start their lives. The three had a good life, so much so that when Atticus was two, they adopted his first sister. When Atticus was ten, his parents adopted a three year old baby girl. Completing their family. It was when his baby sister came into the house that things started to change for Atticus. He would lose long amounts of time and his sister would tell wild stories about Atticus and her going on adventures in her head. Their parents just thought that it was a part of her wild imagination, but really it was the beginnings of Atticus' abilities. He was accidentally taking over his sister and going on adventures with her. He would wake up in his own bed, and feel sick. His parents thought that he was just had the flu and would keep him on bed rest. It wasn't until he was twelve was he able to take over one of his parents while he was awake. His body slumped over and he realized that he was inside of his mother's head, and controlling what she was doing. He screamed for help from his father and they realized that all of the stories of Atticus taking over his sisters were true. When he went back into his own body, his parents went to work trying to find a place for him to go. They didn't want to lose their child, but they were scared about what he would be able to do down the line. Originally the plan was for him to go to Phalanx House. He didn't want to leave his family, so in a rage he took over his father and climbed to the roof. He told the representatives from Phalanx that he would throw his father off the roof if they didn't leave him alone. He held onto his father's form for too long, and his father fought him to regain control, causing Atticus to go back to his own body and the shock of it caused his father to fall from the roof. His father suffered from a broken leg, but was ultimately fine. Atticus crawled his way to his room, throwing up and shaking the whole time until his mother found him. The people from Phalanx told them that they couldn't take him, that their only hope was for Atticus to go to Monroeville to get the help that he needed. His mother thanked them, but said she would help her son. She got an ambulance for her husband and checked on her son. He was curled up in his own vomit and she realized that she couldn't help Atticus. When his father got out of the hospital, Atticus felt awful about what happened. He begged his father for forgiveness, and he said that the only way they would be able to help Atticus was if he went to Monroeville. Reluctantly, he agreed. When he turned 13, he was sent to Louisiana for the Asylum. Over the years, he attempted to make the best of the situation and never really grasped at it. He would keep away from people, but cause huge pranks to make people laugh. He was always terrified of hurting someone else the way that he hurt his family. Atticus doesn't want to be around too many people, because he knows how much he hurt the people who he loves the most in the world, but he's getting terribly lonely. the role player alias ♦ Bellezbub age ♦ 26 pronouns ♦ she/her code ♦ADMIN EDIT other characters ♦ Evangeline Charbonneau |
